ABOUT ME:
I am currently a postdoctoral research associate with Dr. Sarah Gilman at Claremont McKenna College. By combining experimental, physiological data with field data, I aim to model the energy budgets of intertidal organisms, ultimately using the models to make population-level predictions for response to climate change.
Long fascinated by the natural world, my Ph.D. work has focused on how coastal marine communities respond to climate change. Studying organismal and community ecology under the context of climate change is going to be critical in understanding how ecosystems will function in the future. By investigating species at multiple trophic levels and investigating the relationships between them, I can piece together how entire ecosystems may respond to the changing environment.
Pursuing cutting-edge ecological research under the umbrella of climate change is only half of my goal. As a society we are in desperate need of people who can effectively communicate their work. As such, I have worked to gain experience in science communication.
